Syllabus: Hand Building

For beginners - Learn pinching, coiling and the slab method.

Service Description

Duration: 3 hours per lesson ​ Number of lessons: 6 hand building lessons​ Syllabus: 1st lesson: Pinching 2nd lesson: Pinching and joining to form larger pieces 3rd lesson: Simple coiling 4th lesson: Coiling with designs 5th lesson: Slab method (plates) 6th lesson: Slab method (boxes) 7th lesson onwards: Wheels ​ Flow of the course: - You will start by learning all 6 hand building techniques in 6 different lessons - Once 6 lessons are completed, you will progress to the pottery wheel ​ Class hours: Saturday: 10am-1pm | 2pm-5pm Sunday: 10am-1pm Tuesday to Friday: 10am-1pm Monday: Closed ​ What is included: - Unlimited use of clay What is excluded: - Firing charges are charged at RM35/kg. No charges if you do not fire your work. Ps: In order to bring your work home, your work has to be fired. ​Follow up - Please come back in around 2 weeks to glaze your work and in another 2 weeks to collect your work. Ps: You can also do this in your next class as long as it is within 1 month. ​ When will you get your final work? - 1 to 1.5 months after your class
